TASTE PORTUGAL, in association with CONRAD Algarve, proudly presents a culinary spring celebration in the heart of Portugal as seven spectacular chefs – with an outstanding 11 Michelin stars between them – descend on the Algarve for a two day gourmet extravaganza.

‘Seven of the world’s most highly acclaimed chefs will cook with CONRAD Algarve’s very own three Michelin starred HEINZ BECK for
two exceptional dinners’

TASTE PORTUGAL London, the Portuguese Tourist Board’s gourmet initiative, has been bringing Portugal’s epicurean delights to the UK for an incredible array of events over an amazing six month programme and is delighted to announce it will be extending its London programme with an exclusive celebratory event at one of the finest 5 star hotels in Portugal, CONRAD Algarve, on 28 and 29 March.

Seven of the world’s most highly acclaimed chefs will cook with CONRAD Algarve’s very own three Michelin starred Heinz Beck for two exceptional dinners. The wine will be provided by Wines of Portugal and selected by a team of portugal’s best sommeliers, including CONRAD Algarve’s Head Sommelier and TASTE PORTUGAL’s Official Sommelier – Antonio Lopes. 

28 March – TASTE PORTUGAL Kitchen Party

Hosted by three Michelin starred chef Heinz Beck, this exclusive kitchen party will offer guests the exceptional opportunity to interact with a series of national and international Michelin chefs in an informal setting as they cook up their mouth-watering creations. Only by seeing the masters at work can one really appreciate what it is to understand ingredients in such a way as to know instinctively what to put with what.

Joining Heinz Beck in his kitchen at CONRAD Algarve’s flagship Gusto will be:

•  Ricardo Costa (The Yeatman, Porto)

•  Vincent Farges (Fortaleza do Guincho, Cascais)

•  João Rodrigues (Feitoria, Lisbon)

•  Graham Hornigold (Hakkasan, London)

•  Galvin Brothers (Windows, Hilton Park-lane, London)

The Kitchen Party starts at 19.00 with a cocktail reception, dinner following at 20.00
Tickets are 175€ per person including wine flight

 
29 March – TASTE PORTUGAL Dégustation Dinner

Experience traditional Portuguese fare at its best in exquisite Portuguese surroundings. A superb dégustation menu will be carefully prepared by top Michelin starred chefs, using only the finest and freshest seasonal local produce, guaranteeing a sensory experience to remember – taste, smell and touch will be absolutely tantalised by the gourmet combinations. Each dish will be superbly paired with premium Portuguese wines selected by António Lopes and his team of some of the best sommeliers in Portugal.

The dégustation dinner will be hosted by three Michelin starred chef Heinz Beck with:

•  Chef Vincent Farges (Fortaleza do Guincho, Cascais)

•  Graham Hornigold (Hakkasan, London)
•  Galvin Brothers (Windows, Hilton Park-lane, London)

The dégustation dinner starts at 19.00 with a cocktail reception, dinner following at 20.00
